Heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings (13-0, 6KOs) secured a big victory on Saturday night in Brooklyn, New York. The rising prospect stopped the far more experienced former WBO champion Sergei Liakhovich (25-5) in nine rounds.

Some writers have labeled Seth Mitchell as the best rising heavyweight in America. Jennings disagrees.

"Yes [I am the best American heavyweight], I give respect to everyone in the game but its proven right now. I'm the best. I'm the best right now, humbly," Jennings said.

Jennings is ready to continue his march to the top and he wants to face the best competition possible.

"I went nine rounds and I didn't blow a breath. I'm living right and doing what I'm supposed to do. I'm progressing, humbly. I'm not doing too much boasting. I earned my spot. Who can say that I didn't earn my spot. If I get up in there, I earn my spot. I did the unthinkable plenty of times," Jennings said.

"We're going to the top. We're going to take the steps in going to the top, and whoever is in my way of going to the top, then so be it."
