In the televised co-feature of Top Rank Live emanating from Bally's Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., Nazim Richardson's nephew and charge Karl Dargan (10-0, 5 KOs) stopped Juan Suazo (8-5-3, 5 KOs) in the sixth round of a lightweight bout scheduled for eight rounds.

Dargan, 26, controlled the bout from the onset, displaying sound technique in delivering a one-sided beating to the Tucson, Ariz. native. Dargan was effective at controlling range, shooting crisp jabs and mixing it up to the body throughout the contest. Dargan of nearby Philadelphia dropped Suazo, 31, in the opening stanza with a hard left hook, but the game Suazo beat the count.

Dargan continued to bust up Suazo in the second, opening a gash over Suazo's right eye that bled for the remained of the contest. Suazo seemed ready to go in round three, but Dargan never went for the kill, instead prolonging the one-sided affair. In the sixth, Dargan ended matters, when Benji Estevez halted the contest after another Dargan flurry.
