Super bantamweight Nehomar Cermeno (20-3-12 KOs) has confirmed Thursday's story on BoxingScene.com. The Venezuelan boxer is going to withdraw from a scheduled fight on June 17 in Panama, because an agreement was reached to fight former WBC/WBO champion Fernando "Cochulito" Montiel on June 25 in Culiacán. Cermeno has fought in Mexico several times, including two victories over current champion Cristian Mijares.

"I have thank my agent Rogelio Espino who got me the fight because he has a lot of confidence in me, and because he knows what kind of fighter that I am," Cermeno said.
