WBA junior welterweight Amir Khan appeared on Sky Sports and discussed his possible next opponent for April 16 at the MEN Arena in Manchester, and put tough Australian Michael Katsidis on top of his wanted list, along with confirming that there is a possibility of an all-Manchester showdown with John Murray.

Khan, 24, who was a studio guest for the Bradley vs. Alexander unification told Sky Sports presenter Dave Clark that American Lamont Peterson is also in the running, but also ruled out Paul McCloskey and a possible rematch with the only man to beat him so far Breidis Prescott.

“We want it all done next week and were getting in touch with Katsidis’ people on Monday,” said Khan.

On Peterson he explained; “It all seemed to fall through, but I don’t get involved in the business side, I just leave that to the management, but we are waiting for a call back from his people.”

The Olympic silver medallist ruled out a revenge mission against Breidis Prescott, who knocked Khan out in a round in 2008 to inflict his only loss in 25 fights, as the Colombian has not been in good form of late, but admitted it could be a possibility in the future.

It looks like an announcement could be made next week and with Khan purring about the chances of an a North-West clash with Murray and a PPV blockbuster with Katsidis, there will be an exciting fight on the cards come April 16th in Manchester.
