At the post fight press conference for Juan Manuel Lopez's win over Rafael Marquez, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum announced the attendance for the fight at 4,818. He went on to say that Lopez' next fight will take place in Puerto Rico in February or March.

The plan is to apply the same marketing template used for Miguel Cotto on the way up, with his fights rotating between the U.S. main land and Puerto Rico.

Arum said the plan was for Lopez and Yuriorkis Gamboa to fight one more time each before having them meet in a showdown in June of next year.

"Juanma and Gamboa will each fight once more,” Bob Arum revealed to the media. “[T]hen hopefully I can make a fight between the both of them. I think I can get the fight done."

When asked who he wanted to fight next, Lopez stated, "I would love a rematch with Marquez. It was a great fight and he is a great fighter. I want to fight him or Chris John."

I concluded our interview by asking the Puerto Rican champion if he felt disrespected by Celestino Caballero showing up at his weigh-in on Friday, and if he felt like the Panamanian boxer was following him around like a fly.

Lopez gave a short answer.

"Caballero es un payaso (He is a clown)!"
