At the Veltins Arena, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (40-2, 38 KOs) beat down a brave Albert Sosnowski (45-3-1, 27 KOs) of Poland to score a stoppage in the tenth round. Sosnowski was a huge underdog who lasted much longer than expected, but took a lot of punishment along the way before the referee called off the contest as Klitschko landed two right hands that sent Sosnowski down and out in the corner.
