It was made the official that the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Filipino Rodel Mayol and Mexico's Omar Nino, will clash on Saturday June 19 at the Plaza de Toros in Querétaro. Nino (28-3-2, 11 KOs) and Mayol (26-4-2, 20 KOs) will face off in a function set up by Zanfer Promotions and TV Azteca will televise. This fight will be the rematch of the bout that ended with a three round draw on the 27th of February in Guadalajara.

It was in the third round when Mayol was hit by Nino, below the belt, and while expecting intervention by referee Vic Drakulich to stop the action over the low blow, Nino caught Mayol with a left hook that knocked him out.

"It will be a great fight the second time around against Mayol and now I'm going to knock him out or dominate him on points widely. There will be a new champion," Nino said.

Zanfer CEO Fernando Beltran said he expects a good fight, because the public will be watching after what happened in the first fight.

"It's a fight we all want to see after what happened in their first fight, and I'm sure there will be a winner this time," Beltran said.
