BALCO Lab founder Victor Conte has issued a response to a recent BoxingScene.com news brief, where Shane Mosley's attorney Judd Burstein was very critical of Manny Pacquiao's defamation suit. Last December Pacquiao filed a lawsuit against the Mayweathers, Oscar De La Hoya and and Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, claiming the parties had accused him of taking performance-enhancing drugs.

Burstein represents De La Hoya and Schaefer in the suit. He said Pacquiao has no chance of winning and received very poor advise from the people who told him to pursue the case.

"I think that Manny has been very, very poorly advised. And I think that it's a shame. I think that he's throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars down the tube on a case that can't be won and that it is then going to make him look terrible when he loses it," Burstein told AOL's Boxing FanHouse.

Burstein, representing Shane Mosley, has an ongoing defamation suit again Conte. The suit stems from Mosley's purchase of performance enhancing drugs from the BALCO Lab prior to the rematch with De La Hoya in 2003. Mosley claims he was never advised as to the dangerous and illegal nature of the drugs. Conte claims Mosley was fully advised on everything.

Conte has advised Burstein to review his logic on the lawsuit filed by Manny Pacquiao - and put it to good use with the lawsuit involving Shane Mosley.

"It seems to me that Judd Burstein needs to listen to his own advise that he is offering to Manny Pacquiao. It's my opinion that Shane Mosley's defamation case against me cannot be won by him and that Burstein has already made Shane look terrible. It's also my opinion that Burstein's primary concern is to keep his meter running at $1,000 an hour for legal fees and continue to fill his pockets with Shane Mosley's money," Conte said to BoxingScene.com.
