At the Sosua Bay Grand Casino at Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, middleweight contender Giovanni Lorenzo (28-2, 20 KOs) stopped Wilmer Gonzalez (17-9-1, 11 KOs) in two rounds. Lorenzo tries to get his career back on track after losing a split decision in his last ring appearance against Sebastian Sylvester in September of last year. Gonzalez drops his third in his last four.

Junior welterweight Felix Diaz (5-0, 3 KOs), a 2008 Olympic gold medal winner, won a six round decision over Orlando Membreno (11-13-1). Membreno got dropped in the first round. The second fight for Diaz this year.

Dominicano, u don't think that Diaz should be fighting at 147? Well, I don't see a problem and maybe that's where he feels comfortable with his weight. Lorenzo looked out of shape and Diaz shouldn't be fucking around with 147, I'm sure he can get as low as 135. The bum he was facing was so much bigger then him. Anyway, he looked alright.
