BoxingScene.com was advised by a source close to the negotiations that a fourth fight between Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez, at featherweight, has been finalized for May 22 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Both sides were waiting for the final approval on the date from Showtime, and received it on Friday.

It's going to be very hard to top any of the trilogy fights. Marquez struck first blood by stopping Vazquez within seven rounds of their first fight in March of 2007. Vazquez would get revenge in the rematch with a sixth round TKO in August of 2007. They met for a tie-breaker last March, which saw Vazquez win a razor-thin twelve round split decision. A single point in favor of Vazquez was the deciding factor.
