Celestino Caballero May Up Head To Featherweight

Sources in Panama have advised BoxingScene.com that WBA/IBF super flyweight champion Celestino Caballero (33-2, 23KOs) is seriously considering a move to the featherweight division. Most of the big names at 122, like Juan Manuel Lopez, Israel Vazquez, Rafael Marquez and Daniel Ponce De Leon have moved up to featherweight.

Caballero has been chasing a fight with Junama, who faces WBO champion Steven Luevano on January 30. Caballero is shifting his attention on a possible fight down the line with WBA "regular" featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa. The two sides were in talks for a fight not too ago but were never able to reach an agreement.

Gamboa I think is the type of fighter who wouldn't duck anybody. I like him better than both Cab and Juan Ma. It's just that Top Rank is probably gonna try to put him in a protective bubble like they have with Juan Ma. And I stand by my opinion that Luevano sucks. He's a feather fisted fighte...
