World Boxing Organization president Francisco 'Paco' Valcárcel has sent a congratulatory letter to WBO super champion and the world’s pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao following his rousing twelfth round TKO victory over welterweight champion Miguel Cotto.

With the victory Pacquiao established a new record in boxing by capturing his seventh world title in seven different weight divisions. He also captured the WBO belt, the WBO super champion’s diadem and the coveted $50,000 World Boxing Council “Diamond Belt.”

In defeating Cotto, Pacquiao actually beat Valcarcel’s fellow Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.

In his letter to Pacquiao, the WBO president said his victory over Cotto was “a
spectacular performance” and with it Pacquiao had brought “great admirable credit to yourself, trainers, manager, promoter, fans, and most especially, to the entire Philippine country who now see you as an example of emulation. Your contributions to the community are as well known, as your contributions to the history of boxing, making you a true champion in and out of the ring! “

Valcarcel told Pacquiao the WBA was “ very proud of your accomplishments and your new titles of WBO Welterweight Champion and Super Champion.”

The WBO president indicated his organization wanted to celebrate the historic triumph with Pacquiao in the Philippines or Puerto Rico “depending on what is more convenient for you” requesting that Pacquiao let him know “as soon as possible the place and date of your choice for this celebration to take place.”

I really don't care about belts when it comes to boxing because those belts are bull. The only sport/show where belts are important is in the WWE! And the crazy thing about it is that the WWE is scripted and fake and the titles are still important. Aint that a bitch!
