WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch will likely defend his title against Mikkel Kessler in either Copenhagen or Herning. It depends on the domestic reaction to Kessler's tough decision loss to Andre Ward. If it heads to Copenhagen, that would mean a stadium that holds up to 30,000 and Herning an arena that holds up to 7,000.

Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event confirmed the information to ekstrabladet.dk. A deal was worked out with Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy last week. Kessler vs. Froch is tentatively planned for March 6 but depends on the healing process of the multiple cuts that Kessler suffered against Ward. Kessler was said to have earned $2.65 million against Ward and will probably get the same amount of money for the rest of the Super Six bouts.

Additionally, Arthur Abraham's bout against Froch will take place in England. Froch would like the fight to be held at the “City Grounds” stadium in Nottingham, which could hold up to 35,000.
You're a bit negative towards Kessler's handlers, aren't you? Sauerland has a legit contract with Kessler, which guarantees him approx. $2.65 mio for each of the preliminary bouts. You would guess that it's in SE's best interest to have a Kessler at 100% going into the f...
If Sauerland insists on this fight taking place already in early March it's borderline criminal towards their own fighter. If they do that they show that they only care about Abraham and not about their danish import. If Kessler then gets stopped on cuts then Kalle S...
Don't cuts like that usually take about 6 months to heal? Seems like that might be a little too soon.
If Sauerland insists on this fight taking place already in early March it's borderline criminal towards their own fighter. If they do that they show that they ...

the way kesslers been looking the past 2 years.....wouldnt put it as impossible that he gets caught......his speed-reflexes are diminishing(though i hope its more due to inactivity...)still think Kessler will win, though.......and maybe get rid of that rust for good.........

Carl Froch won't be an easy fight for Kessler...especially coming back after his loss to Ward. Froch would have been taking notes watching the Ward-Kessler fight. Froch is a brawler and if Kessler's confidence has suffered due to his loss to Ward, he could very well find himself in trouble agains...
