Heavyweight Alexander Povetkin won�t have his first fight in the USA this year. His bout against Damon Reed scheduled for October 16 is cancelled. However the Russian boxer�will get�to fight for the interim IBF title, possibly with Eddie Chambers. That way� the two mandatory contenders for the both belts belonging to Wladimir Klitschko (IBF and WBO) could have a rematch. Last year Povetkin beat Chambers, winning on the scorecards.

Povetkin�s�manager Vladimir Hryunov confirmed this information in the interview to �Sovetsky Sport�.

�The bout with Reed was�cancelled, but only because IBF gave Alexander the opportunity to fight for the interim title, as Klitschko refuses to step into the ring with him, - explained Hryunov. � "This fight will take place at the beginning of the next year. We�ve already started the negotiations with the second boxer in IBF rating Eddie Chambers�.
