According to Bernd Boente, manager of WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, a deal to fight undefeated Kevin Johnson has not been finalized. Once complete, he said the fight would take place on December 12 with the likely venue to be somewhere in Switzerland.
Boente also doesn’t think that the interval between the fights of the Ukrainian boxer is too short. “Vitali doesn’t have injuries and he feels great, - told Boente. – He looked really good in the bout with Arreola where he dominated all the way. The fight in December could become the third one this year – it’s a normal schedule," Boente told Ukrainian newspaper Segodnya.
None of the Klitschko brothers have fought in Switzerland yet and now Vitali has a chance to make up for that. “Klitschko is very popular in Russian-speaking countries, as well as in German-speaking, - says the manager. – We consider the possibility of a bout in Switzerland only for one reason – public interest! We constantly get proposals to organize a fight for one of the brothers in this country, and even from different cities – Zurich, Geneva, Bern. So there is a massive interest from the fans and television there."
