| Hatton vs Branco is Turned Down By The IBO
By Rick Reeno BoxingScene.com was advised that a proposed Matthew Hatton vs. Gianluca Branco bout was turned down by the IBO. Hatton was scheduled to fight Lovemore N'Dou for the IBO's welterweight title on November 13 in England. N'Dou withdrew on Tuesday after suffering a bad cut above his right eye from a clash of heads during a round of sparring. Hatton's people approached the IBO about the possibility of an "interim-title" fight against Branco. The IBO is against interim-titles and turned down their request. N'Dou is expected to return in six weeks. |

First Judah ducked Matthew Hatton and now Ndou.

Honestly, it sucks that people don't take the IBO more seriously. I think they're the only sanctioning body with a shred of integrity. It's really cool that they said hell no to the "interim" belt. Ed Levine has something good going on. People tend to forget that no one used to think of the WBO i... |
