According to Aussie scribe Ray Wheatley from World of Boxing , IBO welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou (47-11-1, 31 KOs) has suffered a bad injury during training and his upcoming defense against Mathew Hatton (37-4-1, 14 KOs), scheduled for November 13 in England, will have to be postponed.
Ndou suffering a cut over his right eye after a clash if heads during sparring with Ariel Omongos of the Philippines. The cut required five stitches to close and the veteran was told to stay away from sparring for about four to five weeks. He hopes the fight can be rescheduled to December.
“I am very disappointed in having the fight postponed but the cut was bad and over my eye.” Ndou stated.
