BoxingScene.com was advised that former super featherweight champion and Contender star, Steve Forbes (34-7, 10KOs), signed a promotional deal with Don King. As part of the deal, BoxingScene has heard that Forbes may�be positioned for a shot at WBC junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander (19-0, 12KOs).

Forbes spoke with BoxingScene about the signing. He was pretty eager when he heard that Golden Boy Promotions was looking for an opponent for WBA-interim junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana, in the HBO televised co-feature to Lucian Bute-Librado Andrade on November 28. Golden Boy has reached out to Top Rank to match Maidana against Kendall Holt.�Forbes plans to drop down to junior welterweight.

"It was good deal [with King]. I plan to go back to junior welterweight. I would love that fight. I would love to fight�Marcos Maidana," Forbes said.

BoxingScene�was advised that Buffalo-based boxing agent Rick Glaser was instrumental in the deal between Forbes and King.

why does this guy keep getting shots.......:argue: lames dont understand the situation so let me educate... he gets shots cause he is a fighter.... :boxing:plain and simple... he never runs..... he is a mini james toney who stays right in the pocket and battles... he has never been on the floor.....
