The man many are calling the next Filipino star, Marvin Sonsona (14-0, 12KOs), captured the WBO junior bantamweight title with a twelve round decision over veteran Jose “Carita” Lopez (39-8-2, 32KOs) at Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada. The scores were 114-111, 115-110 and 116-109.

The 19-year-old Sonsona was too strong for Lopez, often shaking the veteran up, dropping him in round four and always keeping him on the defensive.

question guys is Sonsona the Philippines first "undefeated" or "Zero (0) lost" world champion? I know Villa & Pac lost before winning a world championship at 19... was morris east undefeated when he became our youngest world champ?
