BoxingScene.com reported a few days ago that WBA interm-junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana may be placed as the HBO co-feature to Lucian Bute-Librado Andrade on November 28 in Quebec, Canada. Maidana's co-promoter Golden Boy Promotions is trying to put him in the ring with former champion, and good puncher, Kendall Holt. Holt's promoter Top Rank has interest and the two sides will try to make it happen.

Holt lost a twelve round decision to Timothy Bradley in April. He showed his power by dropping Bradley twice in the fight. Maidana showed his own brand of power in June when he stopped hot prospect Victor Ortiz in six rounds. Maidana was dropped three times in the fight. He was able to stick it out to the finish line, dropping Ortiz twice during the six rounds of war.

Maidana by KO in the late rounds. I would like to see Maidana vs Torres, now that would be a ****in war.

so holt's boxing license was renewed! i lean towards the faster kendall. he has faced better opponents and should have learned from his loses. he was able to drop bradley twice during their unification bout. maidana is strong, but.....
