The mandatory title defense by WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel will land on either November 14 or December 5. Montiel was ordered by the WBO to make a defense against top challenger Eric Morel. He was given permission to make a voluntary on September 12 against Alex Valdez.

If Montiel-Morel lands on November 14, it will obviously be placed on the Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. If it lands on December 5, it would happen on the Kelly Pavlik-Paul Williams undercard at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Yea, we want this and the Valero vs Soto on Nov. 14. We also want Clottey vs Mosley on Dec. 5. Us boxing fans deserve it after such a horrible mid year for boxing fans.
