BoxingScene.com was informed that Vic Darchinyan officially vacated the IBF super flyweight title. Darchinyan notified the IBF by letter on Tuesday. The IBF recently ordered Darchinyan to face mandatory challenger Simphiwe Nongqayi of South Africa. Darchinyan still has the WBA and WBC titles at the weight.

There has been talk that Jorge Arce could fall in line to fight Nongqayi for the title.
