As reports flooded the internet regarding a potential fight between IBF cruiserweight champ Tomasz Adamek and heavyweight Andrew Golota, BoxingScene.com contacted Adamek's co-promoter Kathy Duva of Main Events, to get the scoop on the all-Polish dream fight. Duva is not sure where the information started or who spread the story but the fight is not close to happening. There are several options out there but none of them will be seriously explored until Duva gets a chance to start negotiations with mandatory challenger Steve Cunningham.

"I first heard about the story on a Polish website. I don't know where this is coming from. We are not making any decisions until we speak with Cunningham. A date of October 10 is being held at the Prudential Center [in New Jersey]. Adamek might fight on that date but no decisions are being made until we speak with Cunningham," Duva told BoxingScene.
