WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko says a fight with undefeated contender Chris Arreola will be even bigger than a potential meeting with David Haye. Last week, Haye threw the Klitschko camp a curveball when he unexpectedly withdrew from what appeared to be a done deal for a clash on September 12 in Germany, and then signed a contract to fight WBA champ Nikolai Valuev on November 7.

Klitschko has set his sights on Arreola and wants the fight to happen soon. There has been talk that Klitschko plans to return in October. HBO is very interested in the fight.

“I'll be boxing versus Chris Arreola. This 28-year-old American has so far lost no bouts, and in his latest fight he knocked out [Jameel] McCline. The interest in this fight will not be lesser, but even higher,” Vitali told Ukraine News.

I'm behind the Vitman all the way but I think a Haye fight would definately been a bigger fight. I would like to see Vitali take one more and then retire before he deteriorates too much.

I'd like to see this fight. Arreola gets smashed in this one. Arreola gets smashed by either Klitschko. I'll root for him, but he gets smashed.

It is a bigger fight. Arreola has atleast beaten a couple of half-decent heavyweights unlike Haye. One win over Monte Barrett should not amount to a title shot. Haye should get in line and prove that he belongs at the top of the heavyweight division.
