Joe Calzaghe has expressed his fears over Amir Khan’s ability to take a punch. Calzaghe pens a column for campaignseries.co.uk and used it as a platform to express his concern for Khan, who fights WBA light-welterweight champion Andreas Kotelnik later tonight.
"Khan holds the stylistic advantages," wrote Calzaghe. "But there is one worry…we all know that Khan’s weakness is his chin and hopefully that won’t be exposed. He is extremely ‘chinny’ we all know that and he will have to be wary because Kotelnik might be a little sluggish, but he does have power."
However, Joe’s fears over Khan’s vulnerabilities are wiped away by his belief that Khan’s speed, athleticism, and power will prevail, and bring the UK a ray of hope in these troubled times.
Khan weighed 9st 13 1/4lbs at today’s weigh in. Kotelnik had to strip off, but made the 10st limit without any worries.
