BoxingScene.com was informed that a rematch between IBF light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson and challenger Glen Johnson is very close to a deal. Both sides began to negotiate last week and their talks have moved along quickly. The fighters�met last April, with Dawson winning a very tough twelve round decision. Johnson had more than his fair share of moments during the twelve rounds, and there were people who scored the fight in his direction.

A Johnson rematch is probably the biggest fight for Dawson at the weight - unless Bernard Hopkins comes knocking. The fight should happen in the fall. I hear the two sides are waiting for a concrete date from HBO.

Yeah I favour Dawson now, he's improved whilst Johnson isn't getting any younger and had a good night. Shame though, because the fact is the first fight was very close.

I'm glad this rematch is happening. I've been calling for it ever since Glen was blatantly robbed in the first fight. Glen is going to finish the job and knock Dawson out cold. If anyone deserves his glory, it's Johnson. The man has been robbed so many times it's not even funny. War Johnson!
