There were a few reports being plastered all over the internet with respect to the agreed upon weight for the upcoming fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr.�and Juan Manuel Marquez, taking place on July 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Some reports had listed the agreed upon catch-weight as being bumped from 144 to the welterweight max of 147-pounds.

One�individual with close ties to the promotion of the pay-per-view told BoxingScene.com�- "there is no�agreement for a new�fight weight." Dan Rafael of ESPN has also heard that Mayweather-Marquez is going to take place at a max of 144-pounds, and disputes reports that were published elsewhere of the fight taking place at 147.
