There were a few reports being plastered all over the internet with respect to the agreed upon weight for the upcoming fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez, taking place on July 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Some reports had listed the agreed upon catch-weight as being bumped from 144 to the welterweight max of 147-pounds.

One individual with close ties to the promotion of the pay-per-view told BoxingScene.com - "there is no agreement for a new fight weight." Dan Rafael of ESPN has also heard that Mayweather-Marquez is going to take place at a max of 144-pounds, and disputes reports that were published elsewhere of the fight taking place at 147.
Like it really matters. Floyd will still be outweighing JMM about 8 pounds in the ring (unless JMM bulks up over the 140 he weighed against Diaz and comes in sluggish,) so what's the difference?
How do you know that Floyd will outweigh jmm by 8 pounds Floyd us...
