Jorge Barrios Injured, Withdraws From Hernandez Fight

BoxingScene.com has learned that Jorge Barrios�suffered an eardrum injury during training camp and was forced to withdraw from his upcoming�lightweight bout�with Carlos Hernandez. The fight was going to be televised on April 4 as part of�Golden Boy's "Lightweight Lightning" pay-per-view�from San Antonio, Texas.

There was a lot of steam behind Barrios, who exchanged some harsh words with Edwin Valero [fights in the April 4 main event] during the California press conference to announce the pay-per-view�card that features four lightweight fights. Because of their pre-fight fireworks,�both�camps were hoping�for the two fighters to win their respective bouts and then meet�down the line. There has been no word as to a possible replacement for Barrios.�

According to the ring's website, there is still a chance he could fight. He's seeing a specialist on monday to see how it is.
