WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is not happy with the recent decision by the WBC, ordering him to fight Juan Carlos Gomez, the mandatory contender or face the possibility of being stripped. Klitschko says that he would rather fight WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev or former undisputed cruiserweight champ David Haye, who re-debuts at heavyweight against Monte Barrett on November 15.

Klitschko says that he battered Gomez during sparring sessions and sees no reason for the fight.

“I can well remember knocking Gomez down when he was my sparring partner,” Klitschko said to Bild.

Klitschko's Manager, Bernd Boente, is not confident that a single network will be interested in buying the fight.

“No television station will be interested in covering this fight,” Boente said.

The WBC has given Klitschko and Gomez's promoter, Arena Box, a few weeks to reach a deal or the fight will head to a purse bid on December 19.

[QUOTE=Fulcrum29;4292959]he "earned" it? Sorry how did you mean, you mean by beating Virchis a 40 year old bum that retired right after that fight who's best win throughout his entire career was over "Taras Bidenko" the guy who got destroyed by Valuev? Or was it the win over 79 year old crackhead...
