An update to an earlier report by Mark Vester, who touched on the HBO crew, during the Pavlik-Hopkins pay-per-view, talking about a potential future fight between WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano (36-1-1, 15KOs) and Rocky Juarez (28-4, 20KOs). Luevano won a unanimous twelve round decision over Billy Dib (21-1, 11KOs) on the Pavlik-Hopkins undercard in Atlantic City.

I reported last night that a potential Juarez encounter with WBA featherweight champion Chris John fell apart due to weight, with Juarez not willing to come down from 130 to 126. There immediate emails as to why Juarez would go to featherweight for Luevano, but not John. Not all of the details were revealed by the HBO crew.

BoxingScene.com was just advised, that if a Luevano-Juarez encounter comes off, the fight will take place at a catch-weight between 126 and 130, which also means that Luevano's title will not be on the line.
