Former IBF junior welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou says he is ready to move up in weight for a potential fight with Kermit Cintron, the former IBF welterweight champ. The fight terms are being negotiated for the fight to take place on the November 15 undercard to Jermain Taylor-Jeff Lacy, with the winner receiving the number-two position in the welterweight rankings.
Ndou hopes a win over the bigger and stronger Cintron will land him the man he wants most - fellow Aussie and former super middleweight champ Anthony Mundine, who plans to move down to 160-pounds, which is still three-weight divisions below Ndou's current weight class. Despite the weight and size difference, Ndou calls Mundine a fraud to the sport and wants to rid him from the Australian boxing scene.
"Mundine is the one I really want. He's much bigger than me but I know I have the skills to cut him down to size,'' Ndou told The Daily Telegraph. "Mundine has never held a major crown. As a world champ he's an imposter - a phony. I really want to expose him for what he is.''
