Former four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield (42-9-2, 27KOs) is back in the gym. He's been training for his latest comeback at the Savannah Boxing Gym in Houston, Texas. Holyfield's current trainer, Tim Knight, has advised BoxingScene.com, of a possible bout against Friday Ahunanya (23-5-3, 13KOs) in the early part of 2008.

Holyfield returns from a decision loss to WBO heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov. Following the Ibragimov loss, Holyfield told reporters he was not planning to retire. Ahunanya recently shocked undefeated puncher Shane Cameron, stopping the New Zealand heavyweight in the twelfth and final round of a bloody bout.

he's been pounded in the ring so many times he's almost gay i hate that every evander thread degenerates to "he should retire" but he should.
Even if Evander got knocked out again, I don't think he'd retire. Evander needs to be stopped by a close friend otherwise he will never stop it seems.
Well if he dont have enough sense to call it quits and think for him self... may be he deserves to get hurt.

Holyfield is delusional if he thinks he’ll ever get a title shot again let alone win one. And frankly, Holyfield’s handlers should think deeply if they want to put their fighter at risk again for seriously brain injury or death… I mean, did Holyfield even watch the replay of his last bout?...
