There is a lot of talk swirling around a possible middleweight showdown between unified champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) and Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29KOs). This match-up would take place on December 10th in New York.

As of yet, nothing formal has been announced but Andre Rozier, who trains Jacobs - and has been very vocal about wanting this bout - told BoxingScene.com on Tuesday afternoon - "We're just waiting to find out the end of negotiations, now. I guess we'll see how everything plays out."

But Rozier says he is very optimistic that Golovkin-Jacobs comes to fruition.

Rozier was the trainer of Curtis Stevens when he was stopped in eight rounds by Golovkin in November of 2013.

"I'm very hopeful, I'm looking forward to once again sending one of my charges out against Triple G and that's one where I think Danny is definitely creative, sharp and he can punch hard enough to get this job done without him falling  prey to the usual Triple G nuances of walking in the ring and being afraid of him," said Rozier to BoxingScene.com

"Danny's not afraid of him, at all, and I think Danny's going to curdle his milk."

The trainer has already begun to mentally prepare for this fight.

"Since it was first announced that we might be actually boxing against Gennady I've always prepared Danny for it. Our mission and our goal is to once again be the  number one middleweight on the planet and right now it seems like the way that will take place is if Danny knocks him off. So our goal is to win and win decisively. Be it by knockout or by decision. I want to be sure my son win this fight," stated Rozier.
