Abel Sanchez, trainer of such fighters as Gennady Golovkin, Sullivan Barrera and others, does not see Teddy Atlas as being a big difference maker in the upcoming trilogy bout between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley.

Pacquiao and Bradley will collide for a third time on April 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Bradley won a controversial twelve round split decision in their first bout in 2012. Pacquiao won a clear unanimous decision in the 2014 rematch.

Last September, Bradley parted ways with career trainer Joel Diaz. Bradley then hired Atlas to take over as head trainer.

Atlas is well-known for his controversial tactics when it comes to motivating his fighters between rounds. He is also very outspoken and rarely bites his tongue when it comes to any topic.

The third fight will play out no different than the first two, predicts Sanchez. The veteran coach expects Atlas' presence to increase the sideshow factor. A good portion of the pre-fight buildup has centered around the trainer vs. trainer feud between Atlas and Pacquiao's coach, Freddie Roach.

"I see the same thing happening that happened in the last fights. I don’t think Teddy is going to change a five time world champion. Teddy seems to just make it a show about himself and not about the fighter. Timothy Bradley is very skilled and he won five titles with Joel Diaz. If there’s anything that Teddy will do is make it more of a sideshow, I don’t think the improvement is going to be that dramatic for him to even come close to beating Pacquiao," Sanchez told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

If Bradley happens to beat Pacquiao next month, Sanchez will attribute the outcome to Pacquiao's many distractions - not the involvement of Atlas in Bradley's corner.

"Not only the decline but all of the side things that are going on right now with Manny. This deal with what he said about the bible and those comments that he made, sometimes those things take mental focus away from you. Freddie’s got a job to do to try to keep him focused, but if he gets beat, it will be because of all the side distractions and not necessarily because Atlas made a difference with Timothy," Sanchez said.
