Unbeaten bantamweight champion Randy Caballero and recently crowned secondary titlist Lee Haskins have agreed to terms for a bout tentatively slated to take place later this year.

An exact date and location has yet to be confirmed, but will land in the United States.

The fight was ordered by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) immediately upon Haskins' thrilling sixth round knockout of Ryosuke Iwasa this past June at home in Bristol, England. A 30-day negotiation period was granted before the fight would be subject to purse bid.

Shortly upon arriving at the July 15 deadline, both camps - Golden Boy Promotions (Caballero) and Hennessy Sport (Haskins) - requested an extension of the belief that a deal could be reached. That concept became reality when a deal was struck to satisfy both sides, according to the IBF.

Caballero claimed the belt with a 12-round win over Stuart Hall last October in Monte Carlo. A homecoming was planned for his first title defense, which was to come against Alberto Guevara this past February at Fantasy Springs Casino, which has hosted 12 of his 22 pro fights to date.

However, an ankle injury forced Caballero off of the show and onto the injury list for all of 2015 thus far.

The extended absence prompted the IBF to order the interim title fight between Haskins and Iwasa, with the condition that the winner gets to face a healthy Caballero upon his ring return. Such a ruling killed plans for an intended showcase for the unbeaten defending champ, which wold have taken place this weekend at Fantasy Springs on Golden Boy's HBO Latino.
