Junior welterweight contender Hank Lundy (25-4-1, 12KOs) announced on the social networks that a deal was finalized to face Mauricio Herrera (21-5, 7KOs) on July 11th at the LA Sports Arena and televised by HBO Latino. Lundy posted a copy of the signed contract, executed by both boxers.

Last year, Herrera dropped disputed decisions to Danny Garcia and Jose Benavides, but also had a key decision win over Johan Perez. Lundy also looks to get back on the winning path, as he returns from a ten round split decision loss to Thomas Dulorme back in December.

The fight is a true crossroads encounter. The winner will put himself back in the mix in a very loaded division and the loser will spiral down further from gaining televised opportunities.
