Tim-Robin Lihaug (11-1, 6 KOs) says he is in the shape of his life ahead of his ring return on May 2. The WBO Youth World Champion now faces Istvan Zeller (18-6, 6 KOs) at the Frederiksberg-Hallerne in Copenhagen after his scheduled opponent Giuseppe Brischetto was ruled out with a knee injury.

Lihaug is currently in Spain putting the finishing touches to his preparations following a gruelling training camp in Berlin. Undeterred by his change of opponent, the Bergen-boxer believes fans will see the benefit of his hard work in the ring. ‘’I had a great time in Berlin,’’ said Lihaug. ‘’The sparring and facilities were amazing. It was the toughest training camp of my career, but I can honestly say that now I’m in the best shape of my life.

‘’I can’t take Zeller lightly. He has eighteen wins on his record so I know he can box, but if I do what I’ve been doing in training, I think I can stop him. I just need to connect with my punches. He has fast feet, so will make it difficult, but if I keep the pressure on him, sooner or later I’m going to catch him and when I do we will see if he can stand up to my power.’’

Lihaug is one of three Norwegian talents in action at the Nordic Fight Night event. Super middleweight slugger Simen Smaadal (9-1, 4 KOs) takes on Volodymyr Borovskyy (21-58-2, 10 KOs), while light heavyweight hopeful Alexander Hagen (6-1, 2 KOs) tackles the Latvian ‘Viking’ Olegs Fedotovs (19-20, 13 KOs).
