Two unbeaten fighters will appear on the non-televised undercard of the Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez-James Kirkland fight on May 9.

Junior featherweight Joseph Diaz, Jr. and junior welterweight Keandre Gibson will appear in separate eight round bouts, Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Robert Diaz told Boxingscene.com on Wednesday afternoon.

The May 9 card will take place at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Tex.

In his last bout on March 6, Diaz (15-0, 10 KOs) stopped Juan Luis Hernandez after the third round. The fighter from South El Monte, Calif. is one of Golden Boy Promotions' top prospects and represented the United States in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Gibson (12-0-1, 5 KOs) won a one-sided eight round unanimous decision over Nelson Lara in his last bout on January 26. The Saint Louis, Missouri resident will be fighting for the fourth consecutive time in the state of Texas.

No opponents have been announced yet for Diaz or Gibson, stated Diaz.
