Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez, Bayamon, Puerto Rico - In a super featherweight battle of former champions, Juan Manuel Lopez (34-3, 31KOs) stopped Daniel Ponce De Leon (45-6, 35KOs) in the second round. The was a rematch of their 2008 super bantamweight encounter, which Juanma won by knockout in the first round.

Ponce was landing some big shots in the first round and continued to connect big early in the second. Juanma started countering well in the second but got caught by one of Ponce's counters, which sent him down. Juanma came firing back with a massive right hook to drop Ponce down on his back. Ponce made it up but he was quickly dropped again from some body shots. Juanma backed Ponce against the ropes and started throwing combinations, with Ponce covering up and not throwing back - to force the referee to jump in and wave things off.

Top middleweight contender Daniel Jacobs (27-1, 24KOs) demolished Milton Nunez (26-9-1, 24KOs) in one round. At the end of the second minute, Jacobs dropped Nunez. After beating the count, Jacobs dropped him for a second time in the contest. Nunez got up again, tried to trade, and was decked for a third time. The referee waved things off after the third knockdown.

Welterweight contender Ed Paredes (35-3-1, 23KOs) dropped and stopped George Sosa (13-7, 13KOs) in the second round of action. The fight was fought at catch-weight max of 151-pounds.

Junior middleweight prospect Prichard Colon (8-0, 8KOs), who recently signed with Al Haymon, stopped Shad Howard (14-18-3, 6KOs) in two rounds.
