Oldenburg, Germany - In a battle for the WBO Inter-Continental super middleweight championship, Arthur Abraham (38-4, 28KOs) scored a lopsided decision over twelve rounds against Giovanni De Carolis (20-4, 10KOs) of Italy. The scores were 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109. Abraham won the rounds, but his game appeared to be a bit off as there were issues dealing with the movement of De Carolis.

Golden Jack Culcay, 15-1, regained the WBA I/C jr middleweight title with a unanimous decision over Madrid-based Argentinian Guido Nicolas Pitto, 18-2. Culcay lost the first fight by posing too much but this made sure outwork his opponent for a win on scores 115-113 twice and 117-112. I had it 116-112 for Culcay after a fast-paced, good fight. Culcay was just a little too quick and worked harder than Pitto grabbing an early lead. Pitto had his moments too and was always in the fight but Culcay had that little extra and was a deserved winner in a fight that put his career back on track. Culcay avenges his April twelve round decision loss to Pitto.
