Former WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (25-2, 19 KOs), who suffered a horrible and frightening hematoma over his right eye and had his facial lines badly distorted during the last Friday's TKO 11 loss to Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 32 KOs) of Panama, was successfully released from the hospital yesterday. All of the necessary examinations have been carried out and no career-threatening damage to Lebedev's eye have been revealed.

"Denis is out of the hospital now. His hematoma was removed. Right now everyone's attention is on the main fight of the year between Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin. Denis has rightfully earned a long rest. He should recover both physically and psycholigically. Then we shall weigh-in all of the options with Denis", said Lebedev's promoter Vladimir Hryunov to the R-Sport media.
