BoxingScene.com recently caught up with four-time heavyweight champion Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield.  The 49 year old fighter defeated Brian Nielsen this past May in his most recent fight.  Holyfied traveled to Nielsen's homeland of Denmark to face the 46 year old.  Holyfield praised Nielsen for his chin and was satisfied with his performance.

"Nielsen is a guy who could take shots. In our fight he proved that he could take good shots and eventually I was able to take him out," stated Holyfield.

The Atlanta, Georgia native insists that he will continue fighting until he captures a world title for a fifth time.  Since the Klistchko brothers have a stranglehold on the heavyweight titles, Holyfield is hopking to land a fight with either of the brothers.  He views both Wladimir and Vitaly Klitschko as equally good fighters.

"Both of them are good fighters.  It doesn't make a difference which one I fight.  They would both be tough fights but every fighter that I face is a tough fight.  The thing is that I can make adjustments.  The fighters that they face are young, younger than them, but they don't have a pedigree.  They don't have a long amateur career like I did.  You can't beat a great fighter because you swing hard and are heavier than them.  It takes a lot to beat the very best," Holyfield explained.  "You have to fight on the inside.  You don't look at what you can't do.  You look at what you can do.  That is how you win a fight."

Holyfield said that he can still perform at a high level even at 49 years old because he always stays in the gym and takes care of himself.  He also said that he isn't going to set a time table for when he will retire.  Holyfield points to Bernard Hopkins as a recent example of fighter continuing to have success late in his career.

"Look at Bernard Hopkins.  There is a guy who is 46 years old and can still do it.  Technology is better.  When you apply technology to health you see what you can do.  A lot of these guys aren't living like they are supposed to.  When I turned 30 they said I was old.  Now they don't tell anyone they are old when they are 30.  I train everyday because I realize that one of these days these guys are going to think I am not training and that they can get me but they are going to get got."
