Roger Mayweather, trainer of WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs), expects his nephew to fight WBO champ Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38KOs) on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. While negotiations have broken down in the past, several times, Roger told BoxingScene.com that he's very confident about the fight taking place. Both fighters are running out of opponents and the money is too great, says Roger.

"I think it's going to happen. Any time you have $100 million dollars involved, a fight is going to happen. There are no other opponents. Pacquiao is running out of opponents. I think everybody wants the fight. [Pacquiao] says he's going to take a test [for performance enhancing drugs], so I don't see why it wouldn't happen," Mayweather said.
