Former two division champion Tomasz Adamek (44-1, 28KOs) is almost ready to fly out for the biggest fight of his career. Next Wednesday, Adamek will have his final workout in Bushkill, PA, and then on Thursday he boards a plane to begin the long journey to Poland, where on September 10 in Wroclaw he challenges WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. Adamek has promised to shock the boxing world in the Klitschko showdown.

"It's amazing how all of these weeks of training flew by so quickly. A lot of sweat and hard work will be left in this lovely place. In interviews, Vitali gives me compliments but also says he won't allow me to win. In the ring, we'll see which of us is better prepared for the fight. Whatever the outcome, I know that this fight will go down in boxing history for many reasons. Exactly why, the response to this question must wait until the fight," Adamek said.

"In sports, as in life, anything can happen. I believe in my skills and ultimate success. Finally, Poland must have a world champion in the heavyweight division. This title should be for the boxing fans, coaches and fighters and ultimately should serve as a driving force behind the resurgence of boxing in Poland. I thank the fans who are coming to Wroclaw to cheer me on and those who plan to watch our struggle on television."
