LAS VEGAS—Inside word from one of the producers of the prefight festivities has it both Sugar Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao will go “Old School” when it comes to their ring walk music for their momentous WBO welterweight title bout Saturday night at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.

Well-loved New York rapper LL Cool J will be crooning “Mama Said Knock You Out” as the 39 year old Mosley departs the dressing room and heads for the squaed circle where he is an 8-1 underdog to the Pinoy Idol.

There have been reports that Miami's red-hot rapper Rick “The Boss” Ross, who I once met and talked boxing with when he entertained at bar mitzvah for the son of a Florida friend, was going to be involved with Pacman's ring entracne but that seems uncertain now. The possible inclusion of “Port Of Miami” hitmaker Ross is intriguing because of the hefty rapper's history of taking verbal jabs and taking some in return from Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Getting back to Pacman, he will roll with the “Rocky” movie theme song, “Eye of the Tiger” and the band Survivor will be in the ring belting that longtime fistic standard out as Megamanny and his entourage steam their way to the ring.

As you already know, Filipina superstar Charice has been tapped by Pacman to sing the Philipinne national anthem.
