During a recent interview with BoxingScene.com, the WBC/WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11KOs) gave his thoughts on some of the upcoming fights involving other top fighters at 140-pounds. On April 16, Andre Berto will defend his WBC welterweight title against Victor Ortiz. The fight is going to take place at a catch-weight of 146-pounds. Bradley predicts a win for Berto, easy, and would like to see him fight unbeaten welterweight contender Mike Jones.

"I think Andre Berto is going to win the fight and handle it easy. I think Berto would mix in good with Mike Jones. That would be a great fight. I don't really have any issues with the [Berto-Ortiz] fight. Ortiz is moving up in weight. He's testing the waters at 147-pounds and he's fighting a real active lion. He's going to have his hands full at 147-pounds," Bradley told BoxingScene.com.

On April 9th, Erik Morales will face a very dangerous puncher in Marcos Maidana. The fight takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Like most in the boxing industry, Braldey expressed his concern for Morales.

"Oh man, I think Maidana is going to hurt Morales. Morales has been away for a really long time. I don't think he should get in the ring with a really live lion like that. I think he should take baby steps and maybe get a little more confidence and then take a big fight and cash out. But if he's trying to make some money in this business right now, I don't think that's the best option to go to, especially with a big puncher who comes for twelve rounds hard. I don't understand what's going on with that," Bradley said.
