All fighters made weight for Saturday's televised tripleheader at the StubHub Center in Carson, California (Saturday, SHOWTIME, 9:00 p.m. ET). In the main event, Shawn Porter squares off against England's Kell Brook in a 12-round matchup of unbeaten welterweights.
Porter had to strip down to his birthday suit in order to get within the welterweight limit, officially coming in at 146.75 lb. while his "bare necessities" were covered by a towel. The bout marks the second defense of the alphabet title Porter acquired with a 12-round win over Devon Alexander last December.
Brook came in at 146.5 lb. for his first title fight.
In the televised co-feature, Sakio Bika makes the second defense of his alphabet 168 lb. title versus Anthony Dirrell. The bout is a rematch to their 12-round draw last December.
Bika weighed in at 167.8 lb. in a fight he hopes will reverse some of the misfortunes suffered by Aussie boxers in recent major bouts; Dirrell tipped the scales right at the super middleweight limit of 168 lb.
Opening the telecast, Texas-tough Omar Figueroa defends his version of the lightweight title versus Mexico's Daniel Estrada. Figueora hit the scales at the lightweight limit of 135 lb. for the second defense of his belt. Estrada came in a shade lighter at 134.5 lb. for his first shot at a major title.
