Pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. says Manny Pacquiao was never as good as the media made him out to be. Mayweather points to Pacquiao's recent back to back defeats to Tim Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez - and then points to past comments from press members who felt Pacquiao was on Mayweather's level or even better.

For at least four years, or more, there have been discissions about a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight, but the deal never happened for one reason or another. Mayweather does not expect a fight with Pacquiao to ever happen down the road.

"You guys [the media] built Pacquiao up to this level, and said he was better than Floyd Mayweather....you guys did. I'm not pointing a finger at no particular figure. I'm going to stay in my lane and I'm pretty sure that Pacquiao will stay in his lane," Mayweather said.

Mayweather challenges Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for the WBA/WBC 154-pound titles on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pacquiao returns on November 23rd against Brandon Rios in Macao, China.
