Edison Reynoso, manager/trainer of WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) has issued a warning to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs). Golden Boy Promotions is trying to make a Mayweather-Cotto match for September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Reynoso warns Mayweather that his boxer is not Cotto, who gave the pound-for-pound champion problems last May. He says Canelo is a real junior middleweight, while Cotto is not. Canelo weighed over 170-pounds on the night of last night's fight with Austin Trout.

"Floyd is seeking success, and Saul is seeking glory and all of that would be at stake if they fought. I also believe Floyd does not have that many names to choose from [for his next fight]. He should keep in mind that Canelo is a junior middleweight and Cotto is not," Reynoso said.
