Since Saturday, WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux has been training in Boca Raton in Florida. The boxer is training for his unification on April 13th with WBO king Nonito Donaire. The match takes place at Radio City Music Hall in New York.  Boris Arencibia, CEO of Miami-based Caribe Promotions, who co-promote Rigondeaux, is upset with the recent claims that have appeared on BoxingScene.com from Donaire and his wife Rachel Donaire.

Donaire has claimed that Rigondeaux is playing games by not providing his contact information to VADA [Voluntary Anti Doping Association], who are conducting the random drug tests in the match. He also stated that he heard Rigondeaux was working with controversial conditioning coach Angel Heredia.

"We are focused on this fight against Nonito Donaire and we have no other purpose than that. It's the biggest fight for Rigondeaux and we want to provide our fighter an environment where there is harmony. We still have no idea what's going on with Nonito Donaire's team. Every day we read something about VADA tests and ultimately we do not know what they intend to accomplish with this attitude. Guillermo Rigondeaux already signed, in front of Bob Arum and everyone else, all of these VADA documents and met the requirements of this organization," Arencibia said.

"Caribe Promotions and Guillermo Rigondeaux's team wish to clarify that they do not work with Mr. Angel Heredia and that no one has made any contact with that individual. We have no idea where Nonito Donaire got that information, to link the name of Guillermo Rigondeaux with Mr. Angel Heredia, who worked with the great Mexican champion Juan Manuel Marquez in his last fight."

"We hope that Nonito's team understands that they and we have less than two months to prepare for this fight. We agreed on everything requested by Donaire, and from Tuesday, the 26th of February, we will be in Boca Raton training to get in shape. We are professionals and we can not disappoint the audience that also wants to see this great fight. We do not want to believe that Nonito is trying to get out of the fight. We do not want to waste time in fruitless discussions, and from next Monday we are going to enter the crucial stage of our training camp, and we do not want to interrupt the planned camp of trainer Pedro Luis Diaz."

To further provide proof of their position, BoxingScene.com was provided a copy of an email that was sent by Pedro Diaz to VADA, with all of the necessary contact information for himself and Rigondeaux.
